Come join us this coming Saturday, April 1, from 1:00-3:30 pm in The Gathering Place at New Hope Christian Church 1400 S. George Washington Drive Wichita as we learn how to make an Easter wreath. You are encouraged to bring 3 types of fabric with one being at least 1/2 yard. The rest of the supplies will be provided.

Come and join us in worship at 10:30 am Sunday morning as we celebrate together Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Pastor Denny Bell will be preaching from the scripture reading Luke 19: 28-40 and the title of the message is “Crossroads.”

We invite you to come and participate in our church’s anniversary on Sunday, Sept 19. We will be dedicating our new grand piano during the worship service at 10:30 am. You are encouraged to bring a baby picture and give it to Elaine Hayes for our activities after worship. Please bring side dishes of vegetables and salads for our lunch meal of fried chicken and hot dogs. An anniversary cake will be served after the meal. Then we will play Bingo with prizes afterwards. Come one! Come all and join in the festivities!

Saturday, Sept 18 at 10:00 am all members of New Hope Christian Church are invited to come to our monthly Action Committee Meeting. The meeting will also be available on Zoom.

All people in the community are invited to participate this coming Saturday, Aug 28th from 1:30-4:00 pm, at New Hope Christian Church 1400 S. George Washington Drive in The Gathering Place (formerly known as our food pantry building) to help construct from recycled plastic bags sleeping mats for the homeless. This outreach is opened to everyone who wants to make a difference in someone’s life. Please come and be willing to help “the least of these.”

June 27 and July 4 Rev. Leigh Carlson-Burgess will be our guest preacher. Everyone is invited to come and hear her message.

The church community is voting on a new name for our Food Pantry Building this coming Sunday,June 27. There was a tie and we need to vote between New Hope Annex or The Gathering Place. We will let everyone know what the new name will be on July 11.

June 26 from 1:30-4:00 pm we are hosting an event for anyone who is interested in participating in making sleeping mats for the homeless out of recycled plastic bags. There are plenty of opportunities for you to help and you do not have to crochet! Just come with a “willing spirit” to help those in need! We will be meeting in the old Food Pantry Building.
