Help end 2019 by helping others!

Saturday, Dec 28 from 1:30-4:00 pm at New Hope Christian Church 1400 S. George Washington Dr we are asking for volunteers to come help learn and assist making sleeping mats out of recycled plastic bags. This is a community based activity. Come and help make the “reason for the season” be all that it can be! You can be the one who helped someone in need!

Monthly Homeless Sleeping Mat Outreach

Everyone is invited to come and participate in making sleeping mats out of recycled plastic bags.  We meet Saturday, October 26, from 1:30-4:00 pm.  It is a great way to make a difference in someone’s life.  Come and join in the fellowship.

On July 28th from 1:30-4:00 pm, people from all over the community come together at New Hope Christian Church 1400 S. George Washington Dr in Wichita to help make homeless sleeping mats out of recycled plastic sacks.  Remember the phrase “It takes a village”?  It truly does and YOU can make a big difference by coming and helping.  Come and volunteer your time.  See you soon!

Kid Power Cafe Summer Food Program

New Hope Christian Church at 1400 S. George Washington Dr will be hosting the Kid Power Cafe Summer food program starting May 29th-July 27th from 11:30-12:30. This program is free to all children up to 18 years of age. However, parents can purchase a box lunch for a price. There will be other programs made available in conjunction with this program. We will post the events as they occur. Come to the back of the church where the overhang is to to participate in the program.

Homeless Sleeping Mat Outreach Craft Day

Saturday, May 26, New Hope Christian Church, at 1400 S. George Washington Dr, will be hosting our monthly outreach project.   We recycle old plastic bags into homeless sleeping mats.  We meet from 1:30-4:00 pm.  You can “come & go” as your schedule permits.  This is a community wide endeavor and all are welcome. Why not come and join us and actually make a difference in a homeless person’s life today?  See you Saturday!

Free Parenting Class

Last chance! Feb. 19th is the last day you can call Elaine Hayes, a licensed Clinical Psychotherapist for the upcoming free two-week parenting classes Feb.22 & March 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm. These classes are not faith based classes. There will be a certificate of completion after taking the class. The classes will be held at New Hope Christian Church at 1400 S. George Washington Dr. Take time to call today to sign up.

Time is running out!  Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in a free two part parenting class will be taught on Thursday, February 22nd and March 1st from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at New Hope Christian Church located at 1400 S. George Washington Dr. Certificates will be available for those who complete both sessions. The classes will be taught by Elaine Hayes, a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, with thirty years experience as a mental health therapist. Due to size limitations, those planning to attend will need to preregister by calling 316-650-5699 by Monday, February 19th.
